The YEI! Story

One of the Prescott Tri-city business community’s best kept secrets is the suite of facilities that make up Yavapai Exceptional Industries. Watch this video to see what we're all about!

Providing an affordable outsourcing solution to both local and more distant manufacturing partners, YEI! production technicians fulfill a variety of contracts in such areas as:

  • product packaging
  • mail room services
  • adobe brick construction
  • outdoor furniture production
  • real estate sign posts

Founded in 1974 ago in the “Kelly Building” on the corner Willis & Granite streets in Prescott, we opened our doors with only 12 employees.

Today, with over 150 employees, YEI! is known in Non Profit circles as a place where developmentally disabled adults can find gainful employment and a sense of personal pride. We are proud to be recognized as a highly respected resource, garnering awards year after year for creating challenging work environments as well as a host of volunteer opportunities for our work force.

If you stop by to visit, here's what you'll find:

  • Step inside the door of the Washington Avenue Facility and you’ll see plaques and certificates lining the adobe brick walls.

  • The business side of things is perhaps less well known; if you walk around inside any of our plants, you’ll find a thriving, energetic environment, boasting the most joyful work atmosphere you’re likely to find anywhere.

When our employees are finished with work, many of them are transported to volunteer posts around the community: the Public Library, Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott Child Development Center among the many programs that benefit from our brand of community service. Through this program, our folks know that they are vital and valued members of our community.

Most Non Profits rely primarily on grants, gala fund raisers and charitable contributions. Though YEI! has been the beneficiary of numerous generous bequests over the years, we are really all about work for hire.

In ongoing partnership with Prescott Charities, we have grown to include:

  • Washington Avenue Facility (Prescott)
  • Antelope Point Facility (Prescott Valley)
  • Washington Hills (Men's Residence, Prescott)
  • Rusing Hills (Women's Residence, Prescott)
  • Ruger Airpark Industries (serving North Prescott, Chino Valley, and Paulden)
